    soy vieja.

so, i REALLY want my eyebrow pierced again.  i just graduated from the College of Business at Sam & i do believe that we learned that corporate & 'grown up' world frowns upon such lovely accessories.  bleh.  i have held a job since i was 15 and have only had a window of a few months where my job allowed me to have a facial piercing.  this stinks-maybe where i end up working will allow me to have one - doubtful.  i seriously may test my dress code boundaries at work and go through with it!  i loved the reactions i got when i had it pierced.  my family acted like i fell into a life of drugs, sex, & mischief--their scoffs & labels humored me. just proving  their judgements wrong was appeasing.

i may just be suffering through another mid-mid-life crisis; i will steer clear of all tatoo & piercing parlors.....

ps-showbread is INCREDIBLE live!!!  they will be here at fitz on tuesday 7/25--you should go!!  i think this guy plays on track # 7:

    aloooooHA!

chancho! i need to borrow some sweats.

(this is one of my favorite pics.  it's a good illustration of summer!)

so, i'm pretty much going nuts at work trying to figure out how put my pictures to a link?!?  my patience & computer intellect (or lack thereof!) is being tested!  i'm trying to use my photos for a background on myspace & xanga and partially succeeded here.  you only see part of the pic.  SO, if you have any answers, holla at me....

other than my lack of brain power to figure my pics out, life AFTER college is great!!  so far it feels like any other crazy-busy summer and i don't think my post-grad feelings will kick in until septemberish when i would normally resume classes.

JH camp was amazing.  i'm afraid i use that word too often & i hope it doesn't underscore just how incredible camp truly was.  i am so blessed to get to be around kids as they decide to give their lives to Christ &/or change their lives to live for Him!!

last night i heard a pastor talking about community within the body of Christ.  it was powerful--it's so weird how something that is so desired & needed is lacking.  i'm guilty of contributing.  i have a mindset of getting things done on my own sometimes.  these past few years have taught me to lean on my friends & fellow believers.

i suppose if i possessed more powers like chuck norris or had better ninja skills i could do it all on my own.  but, i don't.  so i need to be part of the community.

    "But encourage one another daily,

as long as it is called Today, so that

none of you may be hardened by

     sin's deceitfulness."  Hebrews 3:13

i should have titled this entry "To Janae" because you are probably the only one reading this! ;)
